What I collect, why, and how it is looked after.
Bioresonance and Bioptron sessions involve talking about your health, so this page sets out plainly what information I collect, why, and what happens to it afterwards. It's written in line with New Zealand's Health Information Privacy Code 2020.
What I collect
When you book a session, I collect your name, contact details, and which service you're booking. Before your first session, I ask you to complete an intake form covering your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and relevant medical background. During and after sessions, I keep notes on what came up and what we worked on, so your care stays consistent over time.
Why I collect it
I use this information to run safe, appropriately tailored sessions — including checking for things like an implanted pacemaker before an ATM Express session, which it cannot safely be used alongside. It also lets me keep an accurate record of your care, and follow up appropriately between sessions.
Where it's kept
Booking details (name, contact information, appointment time) are handled through my booking system. Your completed intake form reaches me by email. Once I receive it, I move it into storage that is encrypted and not accessible to anyone but me, and delete it from my email inbox. Session notes are kept in that same secure storage. Health information is not left sitting in my email inbox or synced to a shared calendar.
Who sees it
I do not share your information with anyone else, except where the law requires it, or where you've asked me to — for example, if you'd like me to correspond with another health professional involved in your care.
How long I keep it
Health information is kept for a minimum of ten years from the date of your last session, in line with the Health (Retention of Health Information) Regulations 1996. This applies even if you stop seeing me — it isn't something I'm able to delete on request before that time is up.
Your right to see what I hold
You're welcome to ask, at any time, to see the information I hold about you, or to ask me to correct anything that's wrong. I'll respond within 20 working days, as the Code requires.
If you have a concern
If anything about how your information has been collected or handled doesn't sit right with you, please raise it with me directly first — I'd genuinely like the chance to put it right. If you'd rather not, or aren't satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
